Arrowquip's Cattle Sorting Alleys are designed to suit any operation with a variety of models that can divert cattle in up to three directions. The versatility of the cattle alleys allows you to sort cattle in two ways: within the alley system and after the chute. Post-Chute Drafting is now possible by placing the upgraded Draft Module after the chute. Unlike manually separating livestock in a pen, running cattle through a system to draft is a safer and faster way to send cattle into different yards. The Post-Chute Cattle Draft Module is designed to allow you to control the Cattle Sorting Alley with one hand, and the Head Gate with the other to regulate the flow of cattle. The gates on both sides of the Draft Module easily adjust to accommodate head gate accessories and provide full access to the animal’s head, while also allowing you to pass through the system with ease.
These cattle alleys are designed with 4' high, 14-gauge steel sheeting to eliminate distractions and keep stress levels to a minimum during this high-pressure situation. Spring-loaded doors attached to a pulley system with user-friendly handles allow you to quickly change directions without causing any pauses in cattle flow.
With a variety of models and combinations you can choose from, the possibilities are endless for creating a configuration that best suits your operation's needs. If you need assistance in finding the right solution for your ranch, give our Product Specialists a call and we will be happy to help you!

Sort Cattle Your Way
Pre-Chute Sorting
Pre-chute sorting is commonly used to divert cattle in multiple directions within an alley system. By pairing Arrowquip Cattle Sorting Alleys with Easy Flow Alleys, you can easily create a comprehensive system that leads to different exits such as a chute, loading ramp, or yard. In case a cow that does not need to be worked through the chute enters the system, the Cattle Sorting Alley provides an easy way for it to exit the line without disrupting flow.
Post-Chute Cattle Drafting
Post-chute cattle drafting is a much safer way to sort a mixed group of cattle into separate areas because it does not require you to be in the pen with them. Using the Sorting Alley together with the Cattle Access Gates allows you to manage the flow of livestock easily by running them through an open system and into the Post-Chute Draft Module.
By adding the Draft Module to your sorting system, you can efficiently sort cattle into designated pens after they have been tagged or treated, while staying safely out of harm’s way. Featuring an upgraded design, the Draft Module door width effortlessly adjusts to accommodate head gate accessories and provide full access to the animal’s head. This method keeps cattle stress levels to a minimum while saving time and effort.
