WHAT IS THE AGRI LIVESTOCK INVESTMENT GRANT PROGRAM?

Upgrading livestock facilities, improving pasture infrastructure, and purchasing specialized equipment can be a significant expense for cattle producers. The Minnesota AGRI Livestock Investment Grant helps Minnesota farmers and ranchers cover part of those costs through reimbursement funding of up to $25,000.

Administered by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA), the Agricultural Growth, Research, and Innovation (AGRI) Livestock Investment Grant supports projects that improve, update, or modernize livestock operations. Eligible investments can include livestock buildings, fencing, watering systems, feeding equipment, and livestock handling infrastructure.

For cattle producers, this funding could help offset the cost of improving cattle facilities, upgrading livestock equipment, or making pasture improvements that support a more productive operation.
