Palpation-Vet Cage

A palpation cage can be built using gates and panels to restrain the cow and protect the veterinarian.

A palpation cage gives the veterinarian access to the rear of the animal to check pregnancy status or for artificial insemination. The doors on the palpation cage provide safety measures for handlers. Sheeted doors also prevent feet from getting caught.

To use a palpation cage, install it directly behind your chute to provide a safe place for handlers and veterinarians to work cattle.
